Processing of Personal Data
Skandilock AB in Svenljunga, organization number 556479-9590 (“we” or “us”) is responsible for the personal data we collect and store. We process personal data solely in accordance with applicable data protection legislation to protect your personal integrity.

What personal data do we collect and why?
You as a visitor to the website
During normal website usage, we collect standard web server log data. Such data typically cannot be used to personally identify you or reveal any other personal information. We use web server log data to generate statistics and measure website activity to improve your browsing experience.

The “Find a Store” feature uses a location service to identify your position to search for the nearest retailers. Through your browser settings, you can choose whether or not to allow location services.

Some information may be saved on your device in the form of “cookies.” These are used to facilitate your use of the website but also provide information to the website owner. You can set your computer to block cookies. However, this may result in certain parts of the website not functioning as intended.

We handle the above data based on our legitimate interest in maintaining, testing, and improving our digital tools and services. We never sell your data to third parties but may share it with our suppliers for analysis or to improve the website and the services we provide here. This data is stored for up to 24 months.

When contacting us
When communicating with us via email, social media, or phone, we process the information you provide to us to handle your inquiry. This type of information is usually not shared with third parties unless necessary to assist you, such as when we need to send something to you or refer you to one of our retailers. We typically delete your information shortly after your inquiry is resolved unless a longer retention period is required for legal reasons (e.g., to fulfill a contract or comply with legal requirements such as accounting regulations).

Social media
We use social media to interact with customers, but we are not responsible for the personal information you share there. We usually do not collect any information about you from these platforms unless it is necessary, such as sending you a prize if you win one of our competitions. In such cases, we have direct contact with you, as described above.

You as a customer or supplier
Skandilock primarily stores information about the companies we do business with, but for contractual purposes and contact information, we also store personal information about contact persons at each company. The personal data we collect and store typically only includes your contact information and title, as well as other information related to your professional role. As a company representative, your information may be stored in contracts, orders, order history, invoices, and similar documents. This information is processed based on legal obligations due to our accounting requirements. Personal data on orders, invoices, contracts, and the like is therefore stored for up to 8 years under the accounting law, after which we anonymize the data, retaining only the company details.

We also use your contact information to reach out to you via targeted marketing. We do this based on our legitimate interest in communicating with you as a customer or supplier. This type of information is stored as long as you are a customer or supplier. We strive to keep our records updated. If you leave your position, we will remove your personal data from our customer/supplier register but retain the company’s information.

We may share your information with our service providers, including for the operation and maintenance of our website and other systems, as well as shipping services for contract fulfillment. We may also share your information with third parties for auditing and other legal purposes.

How we protect your personal data
We take measures to protect your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and established information security practices. This means that we safeguard your data with both technical solutions and organizational routines and rules. In cases where we share your personal data with third parties, we have data processing agreements in place to ensure your data is handled properly and securely.
